Over time, leadership at the College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station has taken different forms. Since 1903, the director of MAES and dean of the college have been a combined appointment. Beginning in 2014, the dean/director has also served as Vice President for Agriculture, a member of the MSU president's executive team.
