Academic Advising and Registration
You can find your advisor by accessing DegreeWorks via MyInfo. Log into MyInfo, click on the "Student Services" tab, and then click on "DegreeWorks". Your academic advisor's information will be at the top of the page. Learn more about DegreeWorks by clicking here.
Each semester your advising pin will be reset. You will need to get your pin from your academic advisor. Most academic advisors will add your pin number to a note (within DegreeWorks) after you've discussed courses with them. Learn more about DegreeWorks by clicking here.
Adding a Course:
Students may add courses online using MyInfo through the 5th day of the semester. Click here for more information on adding a course after you've registered.
After the 5th day, all adds require the instructor's and advisor's signatures on an Add/Drop form. Click here to access the form.
After the 10th semester day, all adds are considered an exception and require an additional signature from the College's Associate Dean or Director of Student Services.

Dropping a Course:
Students may drop classes online using MyInfo through the 10th day of the semester. Click here for more information on how to drop a course after you've registered.
After the 10th semester day, all drops require the instructor's and the advisor's approval communicated through signatures on an Add/Drop form. Click here to access the form.
Between the 15th and 60th semester days, students may continue to drop courses, with the approval of the instructor and of the advisor, though the student will receive a "W" (withdrawn) grade.
Academic Status
Students are placed on academic probation if their cumulative GPA has dropped below 2.00 or if the cumulative GPA is below 2.00 and the semester (term) GPA is above 2.00.

Students are suspended if they were placed on Academic Probation in a prior semester and their next semester GPA was below 2.00.

Students who are suspended for the first time may not enroll at MSU for one academic term (Fall or Spring). Students in this situation may be eligible to participate in the Second Wind Program. Contact Jessica Murdock, Director of Student Services for more information.
Students suspended for the second time may not enroll at MSU for one academic year.
Students may appeal academic suspension if they believe there were extraordinary circumstances beyond their control. Students in the College of Agriculture should fill out the Academic Suspension Appeal Form and then contact Jessica Murdock, Director of Student Services to submit their appeal.

Second Wind is a program created to assist students after their first suspension. Not all students qualify. If you recieved a letter or email indicating you qualify for Second Wind, contact Jessica Murdock, Director of Student Services.

Scholarships
Award notifications are typically sent in mid to late April of each year.
